Ghost-Trees

Ghost Trees 灵魂树

Water Soluble Pastels and Crayons on paper

50cm x 35 cm

Deep in the desert of Magic Forest stands the ghost trees. Where there was once lush forests along the wild river Stax there is now only sand. No rain ever falls and the ghost trees are an eerie remembrance of a time when this part of the forest was still alive.

But even in death there is beauty. The twisted shapes of the hollowed out trees contrast beautifully with the  burning sky at dusk. The oxymoron highlighted by the light coming from the top of the sky.
