I painted this in the warmest room of the MAM gallery hotel in Yu village Moganshan. I am Swedish and should be used to cold weather but it is amazing how quickly you get used to heated floors and electric blankets to keep you warm…..

We climbed the mountain to the pond where  a magic sword was made for the emperor. We lost some people on the way and I learned that in China white jeans and knee high boots with heels are considered perfectly fine attire for a brisk mountain ascent….

The bamboo was lovely and so was the scenery and food in general. Really recommend this area to anyone wanting to get out of Shanghai
